Josephine completed English Literature at the University of Edinburgh before completing a Master’s in Law at BPP University, combining strong academic credentials with a clear passion for the legal profession.

Prior to joining Fairmont Law Solicitors, Josephine volunteered at ELF London, providing employment law advice, and has gained valuable experience across a range of client-focused and commercial law firms. She is recognised for her analytical thinking, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering clear, practical legal advice.

Josephine plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and timely progression of transactions. Outside of work, Josephine volunteers for a charity supporting children with rare diseases and enjoys spending time in Richmond Park, particularly horse riding and cycling.

Joseph qualified as a Solicitor in July 2023 and works within the Private Client department. He advises on a range of matters including Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Trusts.

Joseph is passionate about helping clients through what can often be emotional and challenging times. He has particular experience supporting elderly and vulnerable clients, as well as families who have recently lost a loved one. Joseph takes the time to listen carefully to each client’s needs and circumstances, ensuring they feel supported and reassured throughout the process. Sarah is a Paralegal with over four years of experience gained across several well-established law firms in West London. She has developed extensive experience across a broad range of legal matters, with a particular focus on litigation, where she assists both individuals and businesses in navigating complex disputes with confidence and clarity. 

In addition to her litigation practice, Sarah has experience in commercial and residential conveyancing, public and private family law, and employment matters. Her diverse legal background enables her to adopt a practical, solutions-focused approach, providing clients with clear, commercially minded advice tailored to their individual objectives and circumstances. 

Sarah understands that legal matters can often be complex and stressful. Surj is an experienced business development and growth strategy professional with more than 18 years of experience working across the legal, professional services and legal technology sectors. He specialises in building strong client relationships, developing strategic partnerships and creating growth opportunities that deliver long-term value.

At Fairmont Law Solicitors, Surj works closely with clients and professional contacts to strengthen the firm's network, support business growth and ensure clients receive an exceptional experience from their first interaction with the firm.

Holding an LLB, Surj combines legal sector knowledge with commercial expertise and a practical, relationship-focused approach. He is passionate about connecting people, identifying opportunities and helping businesses grow through trusted partnerships.

Outside of work, Surj enjoys staying active and spending time with his dog, Zen, who is often his companion on adventures. He is a dedicated martial arts enthusiast and holds a black belt, having trained across several disciplines over the years.

Jessie works within the Private Client department, specialising in probate. She also draws on experience in conveyancing, commercial and retail leases, litigation, and criminal and family matters, and acts as the firm’s liaison between legal work and client and office accounts.

Jessie has twelve years’ experience in UK legal practice and is a qualified paralegal, with more than eighteen years in Singapore legal practice behind her. She is precise on the detail that client money and probate administration demands, and takes care to keep matters clear, accurate, and well organised from start to finish. She believes that reliable accounts support and straightforward communication help clients feel reassured at what is often a difficult time.

Jessie is committed to handling every matter with care and professionalism, guiding each file through with practical advice and close attention to detail.

Outside of work, Jessie enjoys travel, gourmet cuisine, and socialising with friends and family.

Claire is a construction law specialist with extensive experience advising clients on both contentious and non-contentious construction matters. Having worked with businesses in the construction industry since 2002, Claire brings a strong understanding of the commercial and practical issues that arise throughout the lifecycle of a construction project.

Claire advises contractors, developers, consultants and other construction professionals on a broad range of matters, including construction contracts, sub-contracts and consultant appointments, payment disputes, defective works, termination and other contractual disputes. She has experience advising on multi-million-pound construction projects and has acted in complex and high-value disputes, including substantial cladding litigation.

Her dispute resolution experience includes adjudication, arbitration, litigation and negotiated settlements. Claire has also been involved in matters before the High Court and Court of Appeal and is experienced in preparing detailed written submissions and presenting her clients' position clearly and persuasively.

Claire has a particular interest in adjudication and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Adjudication from RICS, qualifying as a construction adjudicator in 2025. She also holds the RICS Quantity Surveying Foundation qualification, complementing her legal experience with a practical understanding of the construction industry.

Graham Cashin is an experienced Construction Specialist and Business Developer at Fairmont Law Solicitors, bringing more than 40 years’ experience in the construction industry and over 25 years specialising in construction disputes and adjudication.

Graham has extensive experience advising contractors, subcontractors and construction businesses on complex commercial and contractual issues. His considerable hands-on construction background, particularly in roofing, cladding, façades and specialist building works, gives him a strong practical understanding of the technical and commercial issues that commonly arise during construction projects.

His expertise includes adjudication, payment disputes, final accounts, loss and expense claims, extensions of time, valuations, variations and contractual claims, together with dispute avoidance and early intervention.

Graham brings a valuable construction and contractor-focused perspective to Fairmont Law’s Construction Department. He is skilled at identifying what has occurred on a project, analysing the relevant contractual and commercial evidence and working alongside the legal team to develop a clear and practical strategy for resolving disputes.

In his role as Business Developer, Graham also works closely with contractors, developers, subcontractors, consultants and other industry professionals to develop relationships and identify opportunities where Fairmont Law can provide ongoing legal and commercial support throughout the lifecycle of a construction project.

His combination of extensive industry experience, technical knowledge and strategic understanding of construction disputes complements Fairmont Law’s legal expertise, enabling the department to provide clients with practical, commercially focused and solutions-driven construction support.
